Electrical Project Manager - CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 YRS OF EXP, MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF NEC, ELECTRICAL MATERIAL, AND HEAVY INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE.

Objective:

The position of Electrical Project Manager contributes to the overall success of the Operations Team through effective leadership while managing relationships with project stakeholders, developing and exceeding benchmarks for success and deliverables, proactively planning work assignments that meet deadlines through scheduling, while considering changes in budget or scope during the execution of the contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a Team Player
  • Presents a positive attitude about the Company and Position internally and externally
  • Supports the overall Construction effort by working closely with other Operations and Estimating Teammates to ensure a smooth transition from award through completion
  • Maintains an organized database that tracks subcontractor and vendor information, performance, workload, etc. for use during Estimating Meetings
  • Thoroughly reviews and understands all contract documents, including bid documents, addenda, plans, specifications, and executed contract, to ensure project compliance
  • Develops a project budget with cost/ object codes after Estimating handoff
  • Develops the Owner pay application schedule of values, reviews and approves the subcontractor schedule of values, and manages the pay application and payment process to ensure cost objectives are met
  • Acquires, manages, and renews the Utility Locate process, including 811 local or large locates and private locates, as appropriate
  • Obtains necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites
  • Fully responsible for the successful management of project budgets and cost reporting
  • Thorough buyout efforts, culminating in the development of complete subcontract and vendor scopes of work that effectively transfer risk and maximizing reward
  • Manages the submittal process to ensure submittals are checked, verified, and approved the first time, minimizing process time and ensuring materials are available when needed
  • Leads quality assurance and control on the project, discussing goals/ objectives, concerns, and issues with the Project Superintendent, documenting, as needed with Subcontractors and Vendors, ensuring the work is completed at a high level the first time, mitigating rework, and if needed, ensuring rework is completed quickly and acceptably
  • Manages the RFI process that ensures clarifications and direction are documented efficiently
  • Documents, tracks, and submits pending change requests, as required, by the contract documents
  • Ensures the implementation of the safety policy, leading by example and fostering a safety culture
  • Monitors field production and accurately tracks within the schedule, discussing trends with the project Superintendent and FSSI Management
  • Monitors owned and rented equipment utilization to ensure productive use
  • Completes reporting documents accurately and timely
  • Organizes and maintains all operation documents on the local server and shared file collaboration platforms, including but not limited to Bluebeam, Teams, and Procore

· Ensure expedient and efficient project closeout

  • Mentors and trains junior operations staff and teammates
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with Owners and Design Professionals

· Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to Interpret policies as required

· “Sell” and promote the company

· Report contract-related project schedule delays, budget overruns, customer escalations, and scope changes to the Executive Vice President

  • Assist with the development of pre-award presentations
  • Assist with post-construction analysis for lessons learned
  • Leadership through example, sharing knowledge, skill, and professional experience
  • Supports a highly organized work environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects with various bid dates, simultaneously
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President and President

Qualifications:

· Experience in the electrical market, capable of understanding trade specific terms, materials, and workflows.

· 5 years of relatable project management experience including proven experience in executing business plans, and managing the financial performance of assigned projects

· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively

  • Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with Team members while managing stressful situations in quickly changing environments
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft’s suite of products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, Teams, and Outlook), Bluebeam Revu, and Procore
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a diverse group of professionals
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in fast paced environment as well as prioritize assignments from multiple individuals or projects. Supports a highly organized work environment
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and propose solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work productively
  • A Team mindset, with honest two-way open communication
  • Acts with unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promoting company policies and holding self and other employees accountable, keeping promises and commitments
  • Knows when to stand tough and when to be flexible when making decisions. Sees the big picture
  • Proficient document tracking and retention.
