F&S Building Innovations is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer to create functional, beautiful, and accurate cabinetry designs for kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, laundry rooms, home offices, entertainment centers, and other custom spaces.
The ideal candidate has a passion for space planning, a strong eye for detail, and the technical ability to transform client needs into precise cabinet layouts ready for estimating, ordering, and construction.
This position focuses exclusively on cabinetry design and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners to understand their cabinetry needs, preferences, and functional requirements.
- Measure spaces or verify field dimensions for accuracy.
- Design cabinetry layouts for Kitchens, Bathrooms, Laundry rooms, Mudrooms, Pantries, Home offices, Entertainment centers, Built-in cabinetry
- Create detailed cabinet plans using design software.
- Produce floor plans, elevations, renderings, and installation drawings.
- Ensure all cabinet layouts meet manufacturer specifications and installation requirements.
- Prepare complete cabinet order documentation.
- Verify measurements, clearances, appliance specifications, and code requirements.
- Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and installers to ensure design accuracy.
- Revise designs based on homeowner feedback while maintaining functionality and budget.
- Stay current on cabinetry trends, storage innovations, hardware, and organizational accessories.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the design process.
Qualifications
- Experience designing residential cabinetry.
- Proficiency with cabinet design software such as 2020 Design and Chief Architect (preferred)
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and terminology.
- Ability to read architectural plans and field measurements.
- Excellent spatial visualization and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
