What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Finisher position at F&M Concrete Construction?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning, leveling, and setting forms
- Pour and spread concrete to specified depth and consistency
- Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools or power tools
- Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect finished surfaces
- Repair, renovate, or replace damaged concrete structures
- Read blueprints, schematics, or construction drawings to determine layout and specifications
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Skills:
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Experience in tile laying, plastering, caulking, and other related skills
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and materials
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Strong carpentry skills for formwork construction
- Capable of heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes
