EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in business or 2 years’ experience in banking and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years’ experience with mortgage loans, documents, and processes.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Objectives Of This Role
- Performs various duties related to verifying closing documents after the completion of the loan closing and funding the loan.
- Ensuring the loan is setup in the core system to match all closing documents.
- Meet and exceed bank service standards while complying with bank procedures and security protocols.
- Demonstrate respect and professionalism, being prompt, and accurate.
- Help our employees realize their best lives.
- Utilize sales training skills to provide outstanding customer service.
- Review all loan packages for completeness after the loan has closed and ensure all documents have been signed.
- Funding of the loan from the LOS to the CORE system for loan boarding.
- Disbursing funds to vendors for items to be paid after the closing of the loan.
- Review and clear any export errors using the PTP2400 & PTP2160.
- Compare the loan set up sheet to the note for accuracy.
- Log file maintenances into database for corrections to be made on the loan if any errors were found.
- Sort final documents in LOS electronic filing cabinet.
- Move electronic documents from LOS electronic filing cabinet to CORE image cabinet.
- Review of files moved to the CORE system the day after to ensure the documents were uploaded on the system.
- Record mortgages via Simplifile as needed.
- Ensure the loan is property funded after export to the core.
- Complete the creation of bill pay transaction and cashier’s checks to be paid with loan funds.
- Ensure that indirect loans are set-up properly
- Effectively be the TMS administrator, making any corrections that are needed to keep the ledger in balance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding customer’s personal and financial information.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
- Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulatory compliance that apply to position.
- Associate degree in business or 2 years’ experience in banking and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Moderate math and computer skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, precise work and time-management skills
- Ability to pass a background check

- As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
- Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
