We're looking for a skilled line cook for our clubhouse restaurant to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and good at multitasking. Experience in using various ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment is also important.

Responsibilities
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Prepare all menu items according to standard recipes and Executive Chef's instruction
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Inform Leadership of excess items that may be used for specials or menu items.
Requirements
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
Weekends will be peak busy times so weekend availability is preferred
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Assure proper temperature and storage procedures are being used
Monitor condition, age and storage methods
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work independently and assure all kitchen procedures are adhered to
Self manage time and preparation according to priority of projects
Ability to minimize waste and cross utilize product
Great communication skills, to include needs of support during busy periods to assure guest satisfaction
Current & valid food handler's card or ability to obtain upon hire
