Summary of Position
The Metal Panel Laborer is responsible for the installation of metal panel systems, sunshades, louvers, and window systems on commercial and industrial buildings. This role involves interpreting blueprints, preparing surfaces, cutting and shaping materials, and ensuring that all installations meet safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches or drills
- Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
- Install wall and exterior metal panel products according to specifications and building codes
- Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
- Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
- Secure metal panels in place, and interlock and fasten grooved panel edges
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment
- Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
- Overnight and out of state travel (required)

- Ability to read and use measuring tools such as tape measure
- Ability to work and communicate with others
- Analyze information and evaluate problems
- Ability to safely work at heights

- Willingness to travel, with frequent overnight stays. Hotel and per diem provided.
