Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Jiu-Jitsu Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques, a proven track record of teaching students effectively, and a commitment to the values and culture of our academy. As an instructor, you will be responsible for conducting classes, providing personalized instruction, and fostering a positive and motivating environment for all members.
- Lead group and private Jiu-Jitsu classes for various skill levels and age groups.
- Develop and implement effective training programs and curricula.
- Provide individual feedback and instruction to help students progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment.
- Stay current with BJJ techniques and trends to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Mentor and support students in their BJJ journey, including preparing them for competitions if desired.
- Assist in academy events, seminars, community outreach programs, and BJJ tournaments.
- Promote the academy’s values of respect, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Purple Belt or Higher in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from a recognized and reputable organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at a BJJ academy or martial arts school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and skill levels.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Competition experience at a national or international level.
- Knowledge of self-defense techniques and their practical application.
- Experience with other martial arts disciplines.
- Social media proficiency to help promote the academy and engage with the community.
