CDL Truck Driver/Operator - Volumetric Concrete Mixer (Class A or B CDL)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Concrete Mixologist with a Class A or Class B CDL to join our growing team. This role involves more than just driving! It is about mixing and pouring concrete using a truck-mounted volumetric mixer at various customer project sites. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Volumetric Concrete truck to transport and deliver concrete to project sites.
• Load concrete materials (sand, stone, cement, water, and admixtures) at the company yard.
• Execute orders and deliveries as assigned by dispatch.
• Mix and dispense concrete according to project specifications, assisting contractors with placement as needed.
• Adhere to all safety and security standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
• CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Must be good at simple math skills - adding, subtracting and multiplying.
• This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, climb, and bend throughout the workday, with occasional lifting of up to 94 pounds.
• Work is primarily conducted in a fast-paced maintenance shop, outdoor yard, and construction site environment, with exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels, including active machinery.
• Candidates must be comfortable in a physically demanding setting and able to adapt to changing conditions.
• Additionally, this role may require work outside of standard business hours to address urgent issues, meet production deadlines, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Schedule:

Peak Season

• Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – end of day (typically between 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM).
• Saturdays: 6:00 AM – midday (typically around 1:00 PM).
• Enjoy a three-day weekend every 3-4 weeks.

Off Season

• Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturdays: As needed

• Do you have at least a Class B CDL with air brakes, tanker and manual transmission endorsements?
• Do you have any construction experience, specifically with concrete?
• Do you have a clean driving record for the past 2 years?
• Do you have an experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, dump trucks, Bobcats, water trucks?
• Do you have any experience with concrete including concrete forming, concrete layout or concrete finishing?
• Are you able to use general construction tools such as hammers, nail guns, power saws etc?
• Do you speak another language other than English?

• Are you willing to work outside of traditional work hours of M-F 8-5?
• A rectangle is 8' wide x 10' long. How many square feet is the rectangle?
• At 4" thick, one cubic yard of concrete will cover 80 square feet. How many cubic yards will be required for an 80 square foot patio?
