We are seeking reliable and dedicated Independent Contractor Cargo Van Drivers to join our fleet. This is an Over the Road (OTR) position only. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to extended time on the road. The ideal candidate must be available at least 21 days per month (with up to 10 days off allowed) to maximize loads and earnings.
Our company provides the cargo van (most are newer models), covers routine maintenance, and handles dispatch through established third-party services. Drivers receive 60% of gross revenue for every load because you are responsible for fuel and tolls.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting expedited freight safely and efficiently while maintaining professionalism. This role requires commitment to availability, clear communication, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive the company-provided cargo van to pick up and deliver expedited loads according to dispatched assignments.
- Maintain constant communication with your fleet manager and dispatch service.
- Provide status updates, including arrival at shipper/receiver, loaded with Bill of Lading (BOL) in hand, photos of BOL and secure load as required, and similar updates throughout the run.
- Maintain accurate records of runs, including any issues encountered.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or damage promptly (rather than ignoring or attempting to conceal issues).
- Keep the van clean and ready for shippers, receivers, and service appointments.
- Adhere to van usage policies: Exclusive use for assigned loads only—no personal services or unauthorized use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an OTR driver within the last 3 years, preferably in expedited freight or commercial van operations.
- Clean driving record with the ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- Ability to operate smartphones and required apps; must bring your own smartphone.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with dispatch, shippers, and receivers.
- Valid driver's license (CDL not required).
- Valid DOT Physical
- Ability to commit to the initial 21-day trial period to demonstrate reliability.

Qualified applicants will receive the full contract for review prior to setting up an interview. Orientation is located in Taylor MI. It is the drivers sole responsibility to find transportation to orientation.
Pay: $500.00 - $2,500.00 per week
