What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM Programmer/ Quality Inspector position at F&B MFG LLC?
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, the F&B Mfg LLC has been in the business of making parts and complex sheet metal assemblies for the aerospace, military, automotive, semi-conductor and commercial industries since 1923. Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following; other duties may be assigned.
• Clock into job to record inspection times.
• Receives and inspects Outside Vendor (OSV) parts and documentation for compliance with required process, certification and any other required paperwork. Documents and reports on all discrepancies that very from the customer or internal requirements.
• Performs in-process inspections per documented requirements and reports on all discrepancies.
• Perform CMM programming using PC-DMIS in order to perform the inspection of characteristics for parts, tooling and reverse engineering.
• Prepares internal Inspection Discrepancy Reports (QA Hold) as required using computer entry system. Documents acceptance/rejections on the appropriate router.
• Performs source inspections as requested by customers and completes all associated documentation.
• Prepares Inspection Discrepancy Report (IDR) as required. Inputs data into the QA database as required. Documents acceptance/rejections on the appropriate router.
• Compares completed product with parts list, drawings, blueprints, Customer purchase order, Customer specifications and/or sample model to ensure that the product meets Customer expectations. Verifies specified dimensions of product or material. Prepares and completes Detailed Inspection Plan (DIP).
• Performs first article inspections and completes all associated documentation.
• Keep work area clean at all times (5 S's).
• Other projects as assigned by Quality Inspection Manager.
Education and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Completed apprenticeship from an accredited trade school or Associate’s degree in a related discipline is required; or commensurate experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5) of aerospace products.
• Must have the ability to read blueprints, interpret work instructions, strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft word and Excel.
• ISO and /or NADCAP experience is preferred. Experience with PC DMIS highly preferred
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Vision Acuity
• Customer certification for product acceptance
