What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Lead position at Eztia Materials?
About the Company
At Eztia, we’re developing the next generation of climate adaptation materials—beginning with wearable, passive cooling technology designed to protect people in extreme heat. Our materials integrate seamlessly into garments and gear, helping people across construction, logistics, defense, and sport perform and survive in the world’s hottest environments.
We are currently scaling up production and global deployments, and we’re seeking a Compliance Lead to help us navigate the product certification, documentation, and regulatory landscape required for global commercialization. You’ll work directly with our technical team to ensure our materials meet the required safety and quality standards—balancing cost, speed, and scientific rigor.
About the Role
As Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing the test plans and documentation needed to bring Eztia’s hydrogel-based products to market. Our products are non-medical, skin-contact hydrogel systems integrated with textiles and distributed across global consumer markets.
You will prepare documentation (e.g., product specification sheets, TDS, COA); coordinate lab testing (e.g., skin sensitization, antimicrobial challenge tests); and advise on cost-effective paths through the regulatory landscape across countries.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure compliance with relevant textile, chemical, and safety standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, REACH, FDA/government regulations as applicable).
- Conduct or coordinate tests and inspections (durability, hydrogel adhesion, microbial resistance, etc.).
- Lead preparation for audits, certifications, or partner due diligence.
What We’re Looking For
- Undergraduate or Advanced Degree in chemical engineering, materials science, or related field.
- Exposure to regulatory standards for textiles/chemicals (ISO, ASTM, REACH, CE, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, systematic thinker, and effective communicator.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment — resourceful, hands-on, able to build systems from scratch.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time or Contractor / Part-Time
- Location: Remote
- Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits for full-time, competitive hourly or project-based compensation for part-time, commensurate with experience.
If you have a passion for science-backed product development and a track record of navigating complex testing and compliance processes, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out directly to explore this opportunity.
