We are looking for a highly skilled and analytical Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and corporate tax compliance. This role is responsible for overseeing the full cycle of U.S. tax matters (Federal, State, and Local) while managing accounting functions, internal controls, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax regulations, and possesses native-level fluency in both Mandarin and English to ensure effective communication with our international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Management & Compliance (Core Focus)
- Manage all corporate tax activities, including Income Tax, Sales & Use Tax, and Payroll Tax across Federal, State, and Local jurisdictions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all tax returns and year-end settlements.
- Develop tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilities while maintaining 100% regulatory compliance with U.S. tax codes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the IRS, state tax agencies, and external CPA firms.
- Lead tax audits and inquiries, managing dispute resolutions to mitigate organizational risk.
Financial Management & Internal Controls
- Build, optimize, and execute the corporate financial management system and internal control SOPs.
- Supervise general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and provide actionable analysis to leadership.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and periodic variance analysis.
- Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and banking relationships.
Cross-functional & Strategic Support
- Partner with HR, Legal, and Operations to manage payroll tax, employee benefits, and contract reviews.
- Support financial and tax due diligence for fundraising, external audits, or business expansion.
- Translate and present complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders and bilingual teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in corporate finance and tax management within the U.S. market.
- Languages: Native or bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English (Required).
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Federal/State tax codes, and financial reporting workflows.
- Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel.
- Soft Skills: High professional ethics, attention to detail, and excellent bilingual communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) license.
- Experience managing U.S. entities with international parent companies.
- Experience in fast-paced or high-growth corporate environments.
