Foreman Concrete Construction (Bi-Lingual) - 5+ years CONCRETE EXP REQUIRED

Family Owned Concrete Construction Company Looking to Expand its team. Located out of Berkeley CA and servicing the greater bay area (Primarily east and North Bay)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Read Plans and implement them in the field by:

• Manage and monitor installation crew(s) in all aspects of concrete work including dirt work, forms, rebar, place, and finish
• Adhere to relevant safety regulations
• Ensure others clean and prepare construction sites.
• Dig ditches or trenches by using hand and power tools and break up concrete
• Concrete forming
• Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
• Rebar Installation
• Backfill excavations, and compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers and rakes.
• Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones when needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Lives within a commutable distance.
• Ability and skill in operating equipment and/or power tools
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to speak Spanish

Physical Demands:

• Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing.
• Heavy lifting and carrying of equipment and raw materials
• Prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Must be physically capable of concrete work (e.g., working foreman)

Experience:

• 5 years experience in concrete construction
• 2 years experience as foreman or similar.
• Spanish speaking required
• Ability to read and implement plans is required
• Must have own vehicle to commute to and from work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
