The Storage Systems Engineer will serve as a critical member of the infrastructure operations team, responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of all storage environments supporting the project. This role encompasses broad technical oversight across multiple NetApp storage systems, requiring deep expertise in configuration management, troubleshooting, upgrades, and cross-team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily system health checks, identifying and resolving any storage or system errors to maintain consistent operational readiness.
- Maintain comprehensive certification and compliance updates across all storage platforms and associated systems.
- Respond promptly to emergent issues, driving rapid root-cause analysis and resolution to minimize operational impact.
- Conduct IOS and firmware upgrades, ensuring all storage systems adhere to current performance and security baselines.
- Enhance, maintain, and optimize monitoring applications to improve visibility, alerting, and predictive analytics capabilities.
- Manage the full lifecycle of storage systems, including:
- Configuration, tuning, and performance optimization
- Advanced troubleshooting across all NetApp nodes
- Upgrades of controllers, disks, and associated hardware
- Remediation of complex issues involving encryption, SSL, and KMIP
- Oversee capacity planning, including forecasting and provisioning additional space as required.
- Support and execute decommissioning of legacy or end-of-life systems.
- Collaborate with multiple internal departments to ensure a cohesive and aligned operational strategy across infrastructure, security, and mission teams.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
