Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production machinery and facility equipment. This position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with industrial equipment, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on production machinery and equipment.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, wiring, motor repair, and electrical maintenance.
• Install, replace, and repair machine components and parts to minimize equipment downtime.
• Install, repair, and maintain machine safety guards and protective devices.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical drive systems, pneumatic systems, and related industrial equipment.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including building and grounds upkeep.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and completed projects accurately.
• Maintain equipment service records and assist with parts ordering and inventory as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable SQF/ISO standards.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
• Assist in training and mentoring maintenance or production personnel when needed.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production and supervisory teams.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies as required.
• Perform additional maintenance and department-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair industrial machinery.
• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Basic electrical knowledge, including wiring, circuitry, motors, and electrical diagnostics.
• Knowledge of mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Understanding of lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance documentation, service records, and parts ordering.
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance requests and manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and visual ability required to work with machinery, tools, and small components.
• Work around moving mechanical parts, electrical components, and industrial equipment.
• May be exposed to varying temperatures in production and facility areas.
• Primarily works on the production floor and in maintenance areas.
• Must wear required PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts during maintenance emergencies.
