Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and manage transportation, infrastructure, and construction management projects for public and private sector clients. This role is responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, stakeholder communication, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance, manage client relationships, supervise project teams, and ensure successful project delivery from inception through completion. This position requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple construction and infrastructure projects simultaneously.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
- Oversee construction inspection, project oversight, and documentation efforts.
- Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage risk assessment, issue resolution, and dispute management throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare project proposals, contracts, work plans, and client presentations.
- Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Review project deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance management for junior staff and project teams.
- Support business development initiatives and client relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Ohio required.
- Ability to obtain CE-2 prequalification with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, civil engineering, transportation, or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of supervisory or project leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of construction administration, project controls, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
