What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at EZARC?
Responsibilities Include
- Operate and maintain quality production the CNC laser table.
- Programming the CNC using CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to import and edit DXF, DWG, and NC1 files comfortably within the Radan software.
- Load and unload raw materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular maintenance including daily cleaning, lubrication, and calibration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities (project lists, task list, deadlines)
- Work in tandem with the foreman and project manager to help drive project success.
- Select and install cutting consumables, adjust machine settings, and monitor the cutting process to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet the required specifications
- Unloaded parts need to be kept tidy on pallets or in buckets and organized appropriately.
- Demonstrate competence in the use of tape measures, and calipers.
- Be competent with computers and have the ability to navigate files.
- Read and interpret fabrication and part drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds and be on your feet most of the day (8-10 hour shifts)
- Friendly personality and willing to work as part of a team and be cross trained (If necessary).
- Proficiency with learning modern CAD/CAM software.
- Proficiency in nesting for CNC laser machines.
- Effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
