Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to support our field superintendent and operations management team. In this role, you will help coordinate and execute construction projects, ensuring they are scheduled and completed efficiently. This position works closely with the GM, project teams, clients, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and effective project delivery. A 30-day trial-training period with the superintendent and OSHA30 training is included.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, management, and updating of project schedules using construction management tools Procore, ensuring timelines and deliverables are clearly defined and met.
- Coordinate project activities by organizing meetings, tracking key milestones, monitoring progress, and proactively identifying risks to keep projects on schedule.
- Utilize Procore and Fieldmate construction management software to monitor project performance, maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, and generate necessary reports for project stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with team members to prepare, issue, and track work orders, manage workload schedules, and ensure all project obligations and deadlines are met efficiently.
- Conduct daily site visits to assess progress, promptly address issues, and verify compliance with all safety regulations and project specifications.
- Support the General Manager and Senior Project Manager in resource allocation, work task management, and achievement of benchmark goals by providing timely information and assistance as needed.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication among all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of project-related matters.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive project files and documentation, ensuring all records are readily accessible for reference, audits, and project closeout.
Experience
- Proven Experience: Fundamental knowledge or background demonstrated in project coordination, preferably within the construction industry.
- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with construction project management tools such as Procore, specifically for document management tasks, phone application model.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Construction Knowledge: Understanding of construction site operations, managing crew schedules and safety protocols is considered a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in using MS Office application and construction management software to track project milestones and deliverables.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Language Requirement: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to access various job sites as needed including Tampa FL, Fayetteville NC, Leavenworth KS, Washington DC, Columbus GA. Hiring for all sites.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a government background check is required.
- Employment Status: 1099 contract position (independent contractor status).
