We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mobile Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle fleets across multiple job sites. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, suspension checks, and tire services to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Repair hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical components on various machinery.
- Operate heavy equipment during repairs or testing to ensure proper functionality after maintenance is completed.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving hydraulics, suspensions, shocks & struts, and other industrial systems with precision.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed; communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed and future maintenance needs.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy equipment repair in dealership or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical assembly.
- Hands-on experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with schematics reading and interpretation to accurately diagnose issues.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance instruments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
