Job Summary
We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support at the front desk of our medical office.
Responsibilities
· Assure readiness of the reception area for each working day; open the building at the designated time and make sure all lights, equipment, and computers are fully operational at the start of business hours
· Greet patients and visitors, direct all patients to appropriate location/area
· Register patients
· Determine the financial status of patients and their insurance eligibility
· Ensure all appointments are made before the patient exits the office
· Assist patients in accurately completing forms and documents
· Check in patients
· Verify insurance coverage
· Import demographic and financial policies
· Import HIPAA policies
· Verify fees due and inform checkout on how much to collect
· Schedule patient appointments according to doctor’s orders in EMR and/or referrals
· Secure the building at the close of each business/working day
· Respect and maintain privacy and dignity of patients; assure patient confidentiality at all times
· Follow HIPAA guidelines at all times
· Follow OSHA standards at all times
· Participate in staff and educational meetings
· Perform other duties as assigned by manager
· Collect fees and prepare deposits
