Are you a people person who loves learning, solving problems, and getting the details right?
Eyes on You is a boutique private optometry practice in downtown Portland. We’re looking for a personable, curious, and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
This is more than a traditional receptionist position. You’ll be the first point of contact for our patients while managing appointments, navigating insurance benefits, coordinating contact lens orders, and helping keep our practice running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
- Patient Care: Welcome patients, manage appointments, answer phones, and coordinate care from check-in to check-out.
- Insurance & Billing: Verify and explain insurance benefits, create accurate invoices, submit claims, and collect payments.
- Contact Lens Management: Process orders, track shipments, coordinate with vendors, and communicate with patients.
- Technology: Learn and confidently navigate Revolution EHR and other practice management tools.
- Problem-Solving: Recognize discrepancies, resolve routine issues, and maintain accurate records.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with our team to provide an exceptional patient experience.
As you grow into your role, you’ll also have opportunities to cross-train in optical sales.

- Is comfortable with numbers. Understands basic calculations and handles financial transactions accurately.
- Is a thoughtful problem-solver. Notices details, asks questions, and takes pride in getting things right.

Experience
Previous experience in healthcare, hospitality, concierge services, administrative support, or another customer-facing role is preferred.
Experience with insurance, billing, or electronic health record systems is helpful but not required.
