What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician position at Eyes on Sunset?
Seeking a part-time (20 hours) ophthalmic assistant/technician at an eye care practice inside Walmart Optical in Lexington, SC (not working for Walmart, but the doctor).
Duties will include, but may not be limited to: checking patients in and out, accepting payments, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurances, using electronic medical records, referring patients to speciality care, pre-testing, teaching contact lens insertion and removal, helping the doctor manage patient flow, assisting with office supplies and clinic orders, maintaining a clean and orderly office, and projecting a positive attitude.
The candidate must have proficient computer skills in order to work with several software programs at a time. They also must possess excellent interpersonal skills to include assertiveness, communication, team attitude, and problem-solving. Prior ophthalmic work experience preferred, but not required.
Must be able to work every Wednesday & Saturday
