What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Eyes on Queen Creek?
We are looking for an optometric technician to join our team. We are an independent practice located inside the Queen Creek Costco. We focus on providing excellent care, and we don't sell glasses. Please apply if you have worked in a similar setting and is a team player.
Our office hours: M-F 9:30 -6:30 and Saturday 9:15-5:30
We are looking for someone available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This is a PT position that most likely will soon grow into a FT position (additional Wednesday).

Duties:
Perform pretesting procedures (ex. autorefraction, auto lensometry, non-contact tonometry, stereopsis testing, color vision testing, fundus photography, visual field testing).
Instruct patients on insertion and removal of soft and gas permeable contact lenses.
Assist in scheduling and confirming appointments.
Check in and check out patients.
Prepare contact lens trial orders for dispense/ follow up appointments.
Explain the exam process clearly to patients.
Gather insurance benefits and eligibility information.
Ensure pretesting and exam room equipment are in order and office and exam room supplies are stocked.
Respond to emails about prescription and appointment requests.
Qualifications:
Optometry experience required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Multi-tasking and time management skills
Ability to provide clear instructions to patients
Excellent customer service skills
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to learn quickly
Positive attitude and professional appearance
Spanish speaking is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
