Ophthalmic Technician - Full time - Clinton, MD

If you are an experienced Ophthalmic Technician looking to work with a positive team that strives for excellent patient care, then this is the place for you! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field working as an ophthalmic technician. Capability to perform accurate and timely manifest refractions is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete work-up on a patient to include history, ROS, chief complaint and manual refractions.
• Perform preliminary eye function testing, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception and tonometry
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
  
  

Requirements

• Must know how to refract patients Manually
• Must have prior experience as an ophthalmic technician/Certification not required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
  
  

Our hours are Monday-Friday, 8:15-4:30 with a paid lunch break.
