We’re looking for a friendly, outgoing, and detail-oriented Optician to join our close-knit team at Eyecare Associates of Osawatomie! If you’re passionate about eyewear or fashion, enjoy helping people look and feel their best, and want to be a part of a family-oriented, patient-centered practice, we’d love to meet you.
As our Optician, you’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with our patients, assist them in selecting the perfect frame style, and provide exceptional glasses fittings and adjustments. You’ll also be a trusted resource for interpreting vision plan benefits to ensure each patient’s eyewear needs are met while helping them understand their costs. You will also manage frame inventory and orders with the optical lab.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting the best eyewear to suit their personal style, needs, and budget
- Perform professional glasses fittings and adjustments
- Help patients understand their vision plan benefits and work with them to determine the best options for their needs
- Guide patients through the eyewear purchasing process, ensuring they are satisfied with their choices
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring every patient has a positive and memorable experience
- Help make glasses in our in-house lab, where we can provide many prescription lenses same-day
- Manage frame inventory and lab orders, and meet with industry representatives to help pick out new frame styles
