Position Overview
In this vital clinical support role, you will work directly with our Optometrists to provide comprehensive patient care. You will be responsible for the "workup"—the critical preliminary examinations and testing that prepare patients for their evaluation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Patient Assessment: Obtaining medical histories, recording medications/allergies, and managing EHR documentation.
- Vision Testing: Measuring visual acuity, lensometry, automated refractometry, and color vision testing.
- Specialized Exams: Performing applanation tonometry, corneal topography, pupil checks, and pachymetry.
- Clinic Flow: Preparing exam lanes, monitoring physician schedules, and ensuring equipment is functional and stocked.
