DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists patients with the appropriate selections of frames.
• Adjusts and performs repairs on frames and lenses.
• Orders frames and lenses.
• Creates and documents patient records via Electronic Health Records System.
• Troubleshoots prescriptions.
• Assists as needed in the contact lens area and optical front desk.
  
  

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of Electronics Medical Records such as NextGen.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be detail oriented.
• Ability to possess knowledge of optometric care and current trends in eyewear.
• Ability to work with pediatric patients and take appropriate measurements (preferred).
• Knowledge of electronic frame measurements and pupilometers (preferred).
  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Six months to oneyear related experience in a dispensary and/or technical school training.
• Two years' related experience in dispensary and/or technical school training (preferred).
• ABO certification (preferred).
  
  

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an optical setting. This is a full-time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on the experience and training of the candidate. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.

POSITION LOCATION: EYE-Q Vision Care practice sites are located in Fresno, Clovis, and Selma.

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certifications.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday (may work occasional Saturdays).
