Job Description

Part-time Position available for an after-school learning center Math and English Tutor / Instructor at the Eye Level of Ashburn-North.

Dynamic after school enrichment learning center seeking experienced Math and / or English instructor to tutor students primarily from grades 1 to 8. All teaching materials are provided. The instructor will work with students on an individual or small group setting. Must be energetic and enjoy teaching and nurturing children!

This is a part-time, year-round position.

Requirements :

Proficient knowledge in Math, English all candidates will be tested in Math, English prior to the interview
College student or above with at least 30 credits completed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with adults and children
Sense of responsibility
Energy, Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with children
Hours can be discussed at the interview

General Responsibilities :

Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the center policy.

Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)

Discuss students progress with the center director after every session or at business day end

Personnel (instructor, center assistant) management

Other administrative duties as needed

May start off with grading booklets, in the beginning, to become familiar with the program

Weekday afternoon / evening and Saturday availability preferred

Job Type : Part-time

Salary : $15.00 to $18.00 / hour (depending on experience)

Available shifts and compensation : We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00 - $18.00 / hour.
