The Eye Clinic of Great Falls is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optical Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-testing (visual acuity, auto refraction, tonometry, visual fields)
- Collect and document patient histories
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain equipment
- Enter clinical data into EHR systems
- Provide excellent patient care and education
- Assist front desk by answering phones, sending faxes, scanning documents, patient check-in and check-out, and taking patient payments
- Assist with contact lens insertion and removal classes
- Assist with frame adjustment and dispenses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT) certification is preferred, but not required!
- Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting preferred, but not required!
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
