Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Ophthalmic Technician, based in Huntsville, AL. The Ophthalmic Technician will assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care by conducting eye exams, performing diagnostic tests such as fundus photography, and scribing detailed medical notes. Additional responsibilities include obtaining accurate patient medical histories, educating patients about procedures, and preparing examination rooms for clinical operations. The technician will ensure all tasks are carried out efficiently to support high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Optometry and Ophthalmology
- Familiarity with basic medical practices relevant to eye care
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, clinical environment
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; additional specialized training is a plus
