Company Overview
Eye Care Surgery Center is a small, part time center that the Ophthalmologists at the Ohio Valley Eye Institute utilize for eye surgeries, primarily cataracts, ocular laser procedures and some Ophthalmic plastics procedures. We operate there 2- 3X per month.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing eye treatments and surgeries.
- OR nursing care on surgery days
- Pre-Op and follow up patient calls
- Staffing
- Chart Audit
- Infection Control
- Other duties as defined
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice with proven experience in an ASC/Hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to ophthalmology and eye care procedures a plus, but we can train.
- BLS and ACLS certifications
