Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons is a fast paced full service eyecare specialty practice with strong values and a "Yes Clinic" philosophy that supports who we are as individuals as well as how we work as a team to serve our community with the highest level of patient care possible.
Full-time/40 hours/week/M-F, the Surgery Scheduler works directly with the physicians and Medical Services staff as part of a patient oriented team providing exceptional care and delivering high quality customer service. The scheduler's primary responsibility is to assist patients through the surgery scheduling process and ensure that all insurance verifications/authorizations, surgical clearances, and surgery paperwork is completed and appropriately distributed in a timely manner.
This is an extremely fast paced environment that requires a highly focused, self-motivated, and responsible individual that thrives on high volume and has superior organizational/accuracy skills. Extremely detail oriented; works independently with problem solving and decision making skills required. Looking for a team player that is open to taking direction and can work well in any situation. Presents well professionally at all times to patients, guests, staff, physicians, and external physician offices in the community by supporting our "Yes Clinic" philosophy and core values.
Minimum Requirements:
One year exp. as a surgery scheduler in a specialty office preferred; Ophthalmology experience, NextGen or other EPM/EHR experience a plus.
Must be able to perform all physical and mental duties of the position satisfactorily as described above. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to read, comprehend and follow directions. Must be able to sit for long periods focused on paperwork and at the computer. Occasional over-time required
