What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optician position at Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons/Optic49?
Optic49 is now offering a full time position for a qualified optician. Optician experience in a medical or optical sales environment/or ABO preferred. We are a fast-paced, expanding practice with four clinics in the Salem/Keizer area. In business since 1949, we have a dynamic, team-based, award-winning approach with both patients and staff. We are always looking for talented, enthusiastic new faces to join us!
FT/40 hours week/M-F 8 am - 5 pm; occasional Saturday am.
Qualifications and Skills: ABO certified or optician experience preferred. Knowledge of lens types; frame fashion/eyewear trends. Ability to interpret prescriptions and take accurate frame measurements. Understands optical terminology. Eye/hand coordination and ability to perform precision work with focused attention to detail. Ability to sit and stand for long periods. Computer skills including optical software or other EPM/EHR systems. Strong multi-tasking in a high demand, fast paced environment. Extraordinary listening, communication and sales skills necessary. Excellent customer service delivery with patients and staff supporting Optic49 culture. (This is not a complete job description.)
