As a Clinical Assistant your role will be an Ophthalmic Technician, and you’ll play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care for our patients. You will be responsible for preparing patients for their exam with the doctor. You will do this by gathering important medical information, performing preliminary test, all while delivering an outstanding patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized and presentable office- make the exam room ready
- Welcome patients with a positive, warm disposition
- Keeps doctors' rooms filled to ensure clinic patient flow
- Obtain patient histories through intake assessments, making note of finding in EHR
- Assist in minor office procedures
- Educate patients on ophthalmic conditions and consent for procedures and surgery
Must-have qualification
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to adapt
- Computer skills
Schedule: Monday-Friday
