Part-Time Medical Biller (Optometry Office)
Fredericksburg, VA
We are seeking a part-time Medical Biller to join our busy and growing optometry practice. The ideal candidate will have medical billing experience (optometry billing experience preferred) and a proven track record of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 25–30 hours per week
Full time hours may be available for the right candidate
Pay: Starting at $18/hour, based on experience
Location: In-office position (not remote)
Responsibilities:
Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims
Review and post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials
Manage patient billing and balances with professionalism and accuracy
Maintain compliance with billing regulations and office policies
Work closely with our team to ensure timely revenue cycle management
Qualifications:
Medical billing experience required
Optometry billing experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of insurance claim processing, EOBs, and appeals
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
