Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist located in Johnson County Kansas, metro Kansas city area, Responsibilities include providing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating vision disorders, and managing ocular diseases. The Optometrist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to offer the highest quality of care, maintain accurate patient records, and provide exceptional service to help patients meet their vision goals. Additional responsibilities include educating patients on corrective eyewear and pre- and post-operative care as needed.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of ocular anatomy, pathology, and pharmacology
- Strong diagnostic and vision correction skills, including experience in handling corrective lenses and refractive errors
- Proficiency in managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
- Solid interpersonal, communication, and patient relationship management skills
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution, and a valid optometry license
- Commitment to compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Basic computer proficiency for managing electronic health records (EHR) and other office systems
