What You'll Do:
- Assist the surgical team by preparing and maintaining instruments, supplies, and sterile fields for ophthalmic procedures
- Anticipate surgeon needs and support efficient workflow during procedures and room turnover
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Support equipment maintenance, instrument decontamination, and proper OR stocking
- Communicate clearly with the circulating nurse and surgical team to ensure smooth, safe procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma with specialized OR training preferred
- Experience in a surgical or operating room preferred but not required
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and surgical procedures
- Ability to multitask, follow detailed instructions, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
- BLS certification required (training provided and paid for by EANM)
