US R&D Formulator

Our Van Nuys facility is a key hub for our R&D, formulation production, and North American operations. We’re seeking a hands-on, experienced Product Manager to oversee the daily operations of this site, ensuring excellence from batch to batch.

The R&D Formulator will oversee lab and product development activities, from prototype creation to scaled production and quality assurance. This role requires a hybrid of scientific insight, operational execution, and people management to drive innovation and efficiency across formulation, compliance, and fulfillment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities in the R&D lab, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance.
• Oversee raw material inventory, equipment calibration, and SOP adherence. Enforce rigorous lab protocols and data integrity standards. Product Development
• Collaborate with R&D and international product teams (Israel & EU) to execute formulation projects, including both functional & aroma lines.
• Translate product briefs into lab protocols, pilot batches, and production-ready SOPs. Troubleshoot formulation issues and contribute to continuous product improvement.
• Supervise small-scale blending, filling, and packaging operations.
• Coordinate with the US Ops Manager and global teams to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.
• Implement scalable workflows for new and existing SKUs.
• Ensure products meet Eybna’s internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update MSDS, COAs, and batch documentation for traceability.
• Support certifications, audits, and third-party testing needs.
• Lead and develop lab technicians or junior staff.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and scientific rigor.
• Act as the site lead for all lab-related initiatives in the Van Nuys location.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a lab or product management role, ideally in CPG, wellness, flavor/fragrance, or cannabis-adjacent industries.
• Experience with terpene-based formulations, essential oils, or vaporization technologies.
• Strong knowledge of lab safety, QC/QA practices, and formulation processes.
• Experience in managing production workflows and technical documentation.
• Hands-on, solutions-first mindset with high attention to detail.
