We are seeking an SOX Business Process Analyst - Contractor to lend subject matter expertise.
- Design and document SOX internal controls, including flowcharts, narratives, and risk and control matrices for financially relevant processes.
- Assess the effectiveness of existing SOX controls and provide recommendations for improvement to mitigate risks.
- Lead observation remediation efforts, collaborating with clients to address identified control deficiencies.
- Conduct tests of design to evaluate the effectiveness of SOX controls and align them with best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive business process analyses to identify, document, and evaluate internal controls related to SOX compliance, calling out control gaps/design related observations and proposing management remediation plans
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in SOX 404 control design and documentation, including testing of design and operational effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance requirements and risk management principles.
- Experience in control rationalization, optimization, and effectiveness.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA, CA, CISA, or CIA are desired but not required.
- Skills in acquisitions, commissions, entity level controls, equity, fixed assets, hire to retire, payroll, leases, procure to pay, quote to cash/revenue, and treasury. Experience in the technology industry and/or working with complex non-standard revenue recognition is preferred. 25% travel is required for the role
The expected pay rate range for this contract assignment is $75 to $85 per hour. Exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
