Responsibilities
- Facilitate structured, goal‑oriented conversations with caregivers of individuals with ASD.
- Outline options and tradeoffs neutrally and explain complex topics in plain language to help caregivers prepare for decisions without providing recommendations
- Develop practical checklists and planning frameworks to translate ambiguity into actionable next steps
- Identify relevant resources, service providers, and professional types, and explain when and why to engage them
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience, in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field
- Professional experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or their caregivers in care navigation, care coordination, or case management roles
- Working state and local knowledge of common ASD‑related care pathways in the NY Metropolitan area, including educational supports, community-based systems, and therapeutic services
- Relevant licensure or certification preferred, such as BCBA, LCSW, LMHC, CAS, or equivalent
The expected pay rate range for this contract assignment is $35 to $56 per hour. Exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
