Position Title: Lab/Pilot Plant Manager
Business Title: Lab/Pilot Plant Manager
Site: 20 KY-HTT
Cost Center: 150 Plant Administration
Location: KY 1
Summary: Strong leader skilled in both Operations and Technology that brings credibility and experience to build a culture that supports both Operating Integrity and Innovation which will enable quick learning cycles and rapid expansion of Advanced Graphite process and product knowledge
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staffing, supervision and development of Pilot Plant operators and contract engineers
- Clear and concise communication with Process and Product research regarding aligned priorities and progress toward goals
- Clear and concise communication to the Pilot Plant and Lab personnel of priorities and goals
- Maintenance of the pilot and laboratory equipment
- Implementation of pilot/lab projects and associated Management of Chage
- Planning and stewarding of the capital and OpEx budgets
- Fit for purpose implementation of OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System) and Quality systems; aligned with EMAGS OIMS plan
- Active member of the various committees
- Risk Owner for Pilot Plant and Laboratory Operations
- Create culture that supports Operating Integrity and Innovation incorporating into goals, recognition and assessment of performance
- Operation readiness for Pilot Plant and Hopkinsville Lab project
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education/Experience - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or in a related field required
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry and leadership experience required
- Experience with Design of Experiment
- Experience with Management of Change
- Experience with Quality Control
- Experience with managing operations to a system standard (ex ISO9001)
- Experience in Safety, Health, Environmental task and operations review
- Ability to work in multi-level building high temperature non-production line setting
