Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, upselling menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Manage food handling responsibilities, including maintaining food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment; ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with food service customer order management, including bussing tables and supporting kitchen operations as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
- Retail sales experience including upselling techniques will help you succeed in increasing sales and tips.
