Responsibilities
- Review, create, and update First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, managing the FAI tracking system for traceability.
- Coordinate with management to determine schedules and requirements for inspections.
- Inspect, test, and validate products for FAI accuracy, using a range of inspection and measuring tools.
- Utilize AS9102 FAI generating software and other customer-designed formats.
- Manage supply chain accountability to ensure compliance with AS9102 requirements.
- Actively participate in root-cause-analysis and troubleshooting to resolve product issues.
- Prepare clear and concise progress and issues reports.
- Uphold the quality program by partnering with the QA Manager to implement inspection standards, testing methods, and internal audits.
- Review contract quality clauses and implement strategies to ensure contract compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or quality engineering, preferably within the aerospace electronics industry.
- Hands-on expertise in preparing and completing First Article Inspection (FAI) reports from start to finish.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, conduct quality investigations, and utilize statistical methods (e.g., histograms and Pareto charts).
- Highly motivated, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to clearly present project status and technical information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QMS, and ERP systems.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
