We are looking for a highly motivated leader with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for continuous improvement to manage a diverse team and achieve key performance indicators.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of production operators and technicians, providing clear direction and regular performance feedback.
- Conduct employee training on safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.
- Manage employee scheduling, work assignments, and timekeeping to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes communication and employee engagement.
Production & Operations Management:
- Execute the daily production schedule to meet output targets and customer deadlines, coordinating workflows and priorities.
- Monitor production processes in real-time, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, equipment issues, and material shortages to minimize downtime.
- Utilize the company's ERP/MRP system to track production orders, manage inventory, and report progress.
- Ensure the efficient and proper use of all manufacturing equipment and tooling.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold stringent quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with the Quality department to investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Champion a "quality-first" mindset among the production team.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits, lead safety meetings, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate and report any workplace accidents or incidents promptly and thoroughly.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen events and other improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Analyze production data to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, first-pass yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Associate's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing Technology) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics, aerospace, or a related high-tech industry.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, training, and developing a production team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including production scheduling, workflow management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly manufacturing.
- Knowledge of quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Formal training and practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
