Position Overview:
Extron’s Compliance labs provide some of the best and most comprehensive training in the industry. You will work directly with and learn from industry leading and well-respected Compliance Engineers. As our Regulatory Compliance Engineer, you will be a leading contributor to ensure EMC/EMI and Regulatory Compliance. Extron Compliance Engineering is an extremely important function as the last stop before our products go to market. Here you will work with the latest test equipment, industry experts and be challenged with complex technical problems and discussions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with design teams, provide reviews and directions for schematic and PCB layout design, to ensure boards are designed to meet safety and EMC requirements.
- Be able to perform CAD review of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC and product safety Compliance.
- Develops and implements EMC plans for new product development to ensure EMC product compliance.
- Create reports, create or update test plans and procedures, keep the documentation organized.
- Perform EMC audits of existing product to ensure continued compliance.
- Preparing presentations and white papers as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
- BSEE Degree.
- 2 years' experience working in EMC Compliance and product safety of ITE and AV equipment.
- Knowledge of EN55032 and EN55035 is essential.
- Familiarity with equipment such as spectrum analyzer, and immunity equipment is a plus.
- Be able to accurately perform emissions and immunity testing.
- Candidate should be hands-on and be able to work in the labs.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $80,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
