With a growing workforce, we are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician with a specialization in rework to help uphold and elevate our manufacturing standards.
Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for identifying and documenting product defects, performing rework on trailers that require corrective action, and certifying all relevant specifications are met. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the production floor. You’ll work closely with fabrication, assembly, and engineering teams to ensure that all rework is completed to spec, and report directly to the Quality Manager. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Proficiency in ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma methodologies is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections on in-production and finished trailers and components.
- Verify that all rework and corrective actions meet internal specifications and customer standards
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and assist in root cause analysis
- Accurately document inspection results, rework activities, and deviations
- Support the QC Manager in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and audit readiness
- Utilize Lean or Six Sigma tools to identify and drive process improvements
- Provide feedback and training support to production staff to reduce repeat quality issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant inspection area
Qualifications

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to learn new inspection methods or procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing inspections and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet quality and production goals.
- 2 years in quality control or an inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with rework and corrective action processes.
- Knowledge of Aluminum Welding, Power and Hand Tool use highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies (certification a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in using inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) and how to use it to increase efficiencies is preferred.
