What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st and 2nd Shift Steel Fitter/Fabricator - Winchester, VA position at Extreme Steel, Inc.?
Extreme Steel, Inc. is a best-in-class, integrated service provider of steel fabrication, erection and installation services further complemented by design and engineering capabilities. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Steel Welder.
Primary duties include:
- Measuring, laying out, aligning, and fitting fabricated metal work according to blueprints.
- Positioning metal work with overhead crane or forklift
- Preparing steel for welding using grinder, etc.
- Welding in accordance with the blueprints and specifications
- Finishing metal work (clean slag, splatter, or excess weld)
- Cleaning and housekeeping activities.
Qualities:
- At least 1 year of experience in Structural Steel Fitting / Fabrication
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Have own transportation
- High school diploma or GED preferred (but not required)
Hours are 7- 3:30 pm Monday-Friday.
Compensation will be determined based on experience and skill level.
