Role Description The Loan Officer role at Extreme Loans is a full-time, on-site position based in Troy, MI. In this role, the Loan Officer will work directly with borrowers to understand their financial goals, explain loan products, and guide them through the application and approval process. Daily responsibilities include originating mortgage loans, collecting and reviewing documentation, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring files meet regulatory and company guidelines. The Loan Officer will maintain regular communication with clients, provide timely updates, and deliver a transparent, efficient lending experience aligned with the company’s values. This position also involves building relationships with referral partners and contributing to the overall growth of the branch.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Loan Officer roles, including mortgage loan origination and borrower guidance.
- Solid understanding of finance principles and residential lending products, with the ability to explain options clearly.
- Familiarity with underwriting processes and requirements, including documentation, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with diverse clients and partners.
- Knowledge of loan origination systems and basic proficiency with office software and digital tools.
