Successful candidates will learn supportive care for boarding dogs and dogs in behavioral training. This position provides opportunity for growth and advancement - we promote from within. This position is part-time and while flexible, requires morning, evening, weekend and holiday availability. Located in Carbondale, Illinois.

Hours of Availability
We are looking for a dedicated individual that can work a couple of days during the week and at least one weekend day. Our hiring shifts are either 7:30a-1:30p or 2p-8p. Depending on your availability, our hired individual should expect between 8-15 hours per week.
Job Summary
Kennel Technicians are responsible for the general care and wellbeing of every dog at our facility as well as the general cleaning, facility standards, and an adherence to sanitation protocols. The technician must be able to connect meaningfully and professionally with dogs, teammates, and clients.
Skills and Qualifications

Well-groomed and professional appearance
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Available a mix of mornings and evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must work well as part of a team and in a team environment
Proficient problem-solving skills are required
Good oral communication skills require that you will effectively and professionally communicate with team members regarding the physical and mental well-being of dogs in our care; convey important information regarding the facility, and demonstrate the ability to relay and communicate information to other team members (and vise-versa).
Must be physically capable of walking, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other physical demands.
Must be comfortable working with a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
