Position Description:
Reporting directly to the After Market Manager for the USA, the Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at client sites. The duties include conducting inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, assist in factory acceptance tests, execute site acceptance tests, and providing training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance procedures. In this position, he/she must ensure compliance with regulations and standards specific to the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries while delivering high-quality service to customers. As one of the primary points of contact between the company and clients, the Field Service Technician requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address customer needs effectively. The Field Service Tech works on-call and will need to arrange travel based on the field service schedule to meet customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise assembly, commissioning, and troubleshooting of customer installations.
- Assist in equipment receipt, installation, commissioning, and testing.
- Conduct functional tests of facilities at Dec premises or client sites.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues during installation or operation.
- Provide training to customer maintenance and operations staff.
- Test controls as required
- Analyze and diagnose equipment problems via various channels.
- Perform installation, repair, retrofits, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain installed equipment base, provide support, and ensure communication with customers.
- Communicate maintenance work needed
- Ensure availability of specified parts for service requirements.
- Travel as needed for service activities or to support other technicians.
- Maintain and utilize appropriate tools and instruments.
- Maintain clean, orderly work area to minimize safety hazards and follow established safety procedures/policies at all times
- Communicate potential process improvements for greater efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Utilize and provide feedback on company technical documentation for improvement.
Requirements:
- Associate degree, Trade or Technical School preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to follow direction required
- Requires a working knowledge of PLC systems and advantage, basic mechanical construction, instrumentation for electrical and HVAC application
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Electrical skills including reading, interpreting blueprint drawings, field wiring, panel modifications, and logical fault finding.
- Demonstrates ability to read, interpret and apply blueprints, weld symbols and procedures
- Ability to communicate with associates to ensure that quality requirements are properly conveyed and achieved
- Experience with pharmaceutical or biomedical equipment manufacturing or design highly preferred
- Auto Mechanic experience highly beneficial
- Ability to travel required 75%

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
